What to plan
For a person who has not previously provided BHT services, 55 Pa. Code § 5240.73(c)–(d) specifies at least 30 hours of Department-approved training before independent service, and at least 24 hours of Department-approved training within the first six months of providing BHT services. They are distinct requirements.
Check the agency’s training plan, the required topics, actual hours and completion evidence. Ask your licensing representative which training is approved and fits each person’s role.
