Check PA IBHS training approval before you buy
Training completion and training approval are different questions. Use this note to ask your Pennsylvania licensing representative what evidence and training will satisfy your agency’s plan for a particular role.
Three things to check
- Approval route: Ask whether the proposed training is already considered approved or needs review, and what evidence to keep. Read the DHS training approval process.
- Fit: Ask which topics and documented hours apply to the person's service, experience and individual training plan. A completion certificate alone does not establish that every initial requirement is met.
- Special topics: The DHS process specifies providers for Child Protective Services Law and mandated-reporting training, and lists providers for first aid, universal precautions and safety. Review the linked process and arrange those topics separately as applicable.
Prepare a question for your licensing representative
Select the service and copy the draft into your own message. Add the training titles and any approval documents you have. Do not include learner names or personal details here; nothing entered on this page is sent or saved.
If copy is unavailable, select the text and copy it yourself. Contact your own licensing representative; this page does not send a message.
Review the training before ordering
Special Learning’s PA IBHS ten-seat recording pack is $890 once for up to ten staff, with 17 recordings and slides and six months of access per seat from setup. Learners must pass each session quiz to receive its completion certificate for training clock hours; the pack does not by itself establish completion of initial training and does not offer BACB CE credit. Ask your licensing representative which sessions and hours fit the role and training plan.
