Plan annual training for PA IBHS individual services
Use this planning aid to organize training for an individual staff member. Confirm the applicable rule, approved courses and hours with your OMHSAS licensing representative.
Choose the person’s service role
This page does not determine compliance, course approval, how hours are counted, or the date an individual training year begins or ends.
Build the individual plan
- Record the staff member’s role and the period your agency will review.
- Choose training relevant to the person’s specific job functions and individual training plan.
- Record the provider, completion date, hours and evidence. Check Department approval and whether each activity can be counted; do not add the same hours twice.
- Review the record with your clinical lead and ask the licensing representative about any uncertainty.
For a new BHT who has not previously provided BHT services, the 30-hour pre-independence and 24-hour first-six-month requirements are separate topics to plan; see the new-hire record.

Training for a team
Special Learning offers a PA IBHS ten-seat recording pack: $890 once for up to ten staff, 17 recorded sessions with slides, and six months of access per seat from setup. It documents training clock hours, not BACB continuing-education credit. Do not assume any session or clock hour counts toward a particular requirement; confirm with your licensing representative.
